Description Puget Sound, in Washington State is a beautiful place. There are many large islands in the Sound, most with communities on them. In addition, several large cities are located on either side of the water. One of the main forms of transportation around the Sound is by car ferry.
This photo is taken from the Ferry Issaquah, sailing from Seattle to Vashon Island. It is looking West towards Vashon. The ferry in the picture is the Ferry Sealth, returning to Seattle from Southworth.

I have seen Orca Pods from this ferry. They're almost impossible to get without a long lens.
