I love the book Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell, and when I first read it a few years ago I tried drawing a few characters. It never really went anywhere and they weren't very good. I just reread it again recently and decided to try again. It's such a good book! Go forth and read it. I colored these a while after I finished the book so I may have gotten some hair or eye colors wrong. Ah well. Maybe I'll do some more when I read it again.Left to right: Miss Greysteel, The Gentleman with the thistle down hair, Stephen Black, Arabella, Jonathan Strange, Drawlight, Childermass and Lady Pole.
All of them belong to Susanna Clarke.

I love Drawlight! Now that the miniseries is out it's hard to get his appearance from the book, so it's refreshing to see it here!

Yes, amazing book! So creepy, such an intense ending. It's so long I had to put it down halfway through in order to have time to re-read the Harry Potter series in anticipation of the final book before picking it back up again. Very cool! I'm trying to get my mom to read it, but she's busy reading the Twilight series for the fourteenth time (not joking).
