He blessed the cold to conceal his red cheeks; his heart was jumping like a frog possessed. In his breast pocket was the letter containing the truth of his feelings, written in his more lucid, lovesick moments. He had never felt as clearheaded as he did now.

Courage, man, he thought, and cleared his throat.

It's been too long since I've done a good Hatter drawing. I missed these two. I just wrote the bit above on the fly -- it has nothing to do with When Curiosity Met Insanity (though I hope we get something along those lines!). I was thinking of the part in Pride & Prejudice when Mr. Darcy reconfesses his love to Lizzie on their walk.

I know I'm jumping the gun on the holiday season a little, but I can't wait.

I screwed around with the colors quite a bit, and I think I like these the best. I've been wearing that golden yellow a lot lately, and I've always loved that robin's egg blue. Alice isn't sporting a hip little bob cut, her hair is just tucked into her coat.

The background trees are from a PS brush set from Brusheezy.com.

Ah ha! I just realized I can knock off another item on my Hatter25 challenge! The title's been changed accordingly.
