Description W&N paper, B, 3B, 7B Koh-i-noor and 9B Derwent pencils.
Ginger Rogers, for today people not very known dancer and actress. At first I met her in Monkey Business, she was wonderful. And few days ago I watched Once Upon a Honeymoon (with Cary Grant too).

Beautifully drawn. Her face is really pretty, and you did a wonderful job on the heavenly glow at the edges of her soft hair. She has such lovely eyes too. Charming piece.

Thank you! And are you satisfied with Derwent?

To be honest, I use the special pencils for drawing such as Derwent for the first time. And I have nothing to compare with this line, nevertheless it's easy to work on shading and textures with Derwent graphite pencils. And for the darkest areas I use Derwent charcoal)
And what's your opinion about Derwent?

Well, I met Derwent only few years ago, it was something special for us (in the Czech Republic) and not easy to buy (now it's more available). I can compare these pencils to our Czech Koh-i-noor's, they are really different. In my opinion is Derwent oily, Koh-i-noor more dusty. I mixed both of them during my drawing and I'm satisfied

Interesting I've never used oil pencils. Is it easy to work with? And do you need to purchase a special paper for it?

Oh no, they are not oil like.. oil , it isn't very easy to say what I mean, when my mother tongue is another one. I wanted to say, that Koh-i-noor pencils are easier to blur compared to Derwent's.
I tried a lot of types of paper, everyone has something good and bad, now I have been using W&N for longer time.
