Description
This was a follow up to my piece titled "Fateful Beginnings".I interpret that piece to be: an innocent soul's first contact with a demonic representation of itself in a twisted reality. Sometimes our mental state alters how we see ourselves (especially when we are younger), and we aren't so nice. We think horrible thoughts, but that way of thinking over time only makes that reality more real (ie. the girl reaching out and touching the hand of that reality)
The follow up image, this one, is ment to be an older version of that soul. That soul got sucked into that twisted reality, but continues to fight against becoming it's own self perception. The many monsters represent the many different negative self-images one can attach to them self.
The distorted soul stands with a shadow of doubt before her demons: We are our own worst enemy. <- that's the best way I can put it.
I drew this a while ago. (I used acrylic and watercolor ink for this)
