Ettas' tongues - Xehep featured

This was also supposed to be part of a big concept, but I didn't make a big concept until the end of the year, ah!

Back then, I noticed that I only have [a sketch that would show the features of the work of etta species oral cavity ] but no finished detailed concept... Well, I still haven't it, haha!

The only thing we see here is that their tongue is designed differently from human's. And that they "tie" it into a wick for compactness.

I might add that, like normal roots, pumpkinmen tongues are supposed to absorb food - ettas don't have a throat for that, and they can't swallow things like animals - so something else has to happen to the hard food to be eaten this specific way.

Well, maybe this year I can get to the jaw and teeth part finally.
