Yay it's an owlthing! \o\ /o/ \o\ /o/ \o\ /o/I started this last year around Halloween, but lost time/motivation/inspiration/etc. to finish it, so now I finally got back to it and here it is.
I'm not Entirely sure what I was thinking here, possibly something like a very reversed gryphon... But that's okay 'cause owls are awesome like that.
Corel Painter 9, Wacom Intuos 3, a couple hours here and there.

For some reason it reminds me of the Cheshire cat from the new Alice in Wonderland, probably the face.
I love how you have the spot of light that really attract the eye and grabs your attention, with such a dark background. It adds a wonderful touch to it, and don't even get me started on the texture and all those tiny teeth

This is creepy and funny at the same time. I love it. Beautiful darks in the background that are saturated just right. Great edge lights and a nice rich orange yellow hot spot off centre. Owls are kinda scary as is, but this creature is like a cat-bird from a fever-dream. Pretty damn cool.

This art piece shows incredible imagination, considerable talent and over all a natural gift. The eyes are absolutely stunning with flecks of gold, the mouth is completely believable and we would be honored as the founder, to have this piece in the featured section of our gallery!
