Thanks Jenny - when I rendered this one and it all came together - it surprised me.  I couldn't save it quick enough.  Digital moments are sometimes fleeting and I didn't want this one to slip away.  I'll take the credit for creating it but it's more knowing just how lucky I was and catching it.

Something here all came together and the result is greater than the sum of its parts.  That the patterns in it reference some cultural motif helps too.  Pure luck of course

Full disclosure: Although no performance enhancing steroids were involved, this the results of something cooked up in the lab. I read this tutorial [link] on 'hybrid' MB3D. The result is that I haven't left my chair for two days and a gig's worth of cool fractals which I can't really claim are the results of fractal skill, (i do color them!). Nevertheless, I don't question the fractal gods and humbly accept their fickle gifts.

i have his tut saved but i dont think i tried it yet.usually mb3d irritates me i need to see result rt away.but as u know when u do get a result its way cool!
