Based on a scene from @whelvenwings ‘s fic, True As It Can Be .
Context: Beauty and the Beast AU where Cas is cursed to stay in this diminished version of his true form, described as too complex for Dean’s human mind to handle, so all he sees is swirling darkness in a vague shape and two big “moon” eyes. Cas is normally as big as the Chrysler Building, in the fic he’s cursed to be only 15 feet tall, but as the story progresses, he shrinks himself bit by bit in order to be closer to Dean’s size. In this scene, he’s about 7 or 8 feet tall and I tried to be true to that. I tried to give him a hint of a smile in the face shape and he has four wing shapes. He’s wearing a ring on his little finger, Dean gives it to him in this scene so that Cas can “look special” too. I just loved this fic so much, I had to attempt this painting and I am so happy with the way it turned out.
