Maka was a shy and careful girl, still is to this day. She was raised on Kala Island, deciding to rather stick to books then to others, finding rough behaviour to scare her.
One that scared her for a bit was a beldum who was reckless. Seeing how others were scared of him though, she felt bad and began approaching him, soon over time they became good friends.

She was the careful one of the two, making sure they did not get into trouble or cause any commotion. Her careful nature allows her to think strategy before going head first into danger, specially rooms that are waiting to ambush. Her parents love her dearly, she spends time with her best friend, tends to her garden, and loves to zip around from time to time.

Maka met a smoliv awhile back in her childhood, making a friendship between the two, they would sometimes write to each other when they were far away’

Maka likes to keep things organized and planned out. She and her beldum friend learned about a team base district being formed nearby. Peeking their interest, they found that it was a bustling place of work and commitment, dragging in those wishing to help those in need. Maka was a bit hesitant at first, but her friend encouraged her to join while he finished some things up in another location for a few months, promising to join her when back. She accepted wanting to do more things with her best friend. In town she saw something of inetest, a pretty pink bow, her beldum friend must had caught her eyeing it as he had gotten it for her as a ‘ I’ll return’ gift. Finding the bow scarf to be from him, she never removes it from her neck. She's currently still looking for the right gift just for him as he left to complete is unfinished business.

She wanted to join the rescuer branch to stay close to family and wishes to help those in need out of dangerous situations! Bounty hunter was too much for her and she wanted to do rescuer as it matched her and her friend. She had gotten lost within the town, feeling overwhelmed as she ran right into an impidimp. She felt nervous, but swallowed it down as she asked him where the sign ups are. She was intimidated by the man's look, having a gaze that looked as if it burned into her soul till he offered to help her there once she spoke up about knowledge over different areas, even telling her they can be a team at the exception of leaving him be when he needs to be alone to cool off if too angry. She accepted this and ne head her to the sign ups, forming a team with him called the ‘ Harrowing Spirits’.

History: TRIGGER WARNINGS! (Theft, Criminal Activity, Violence, and Bullying! Please be cautious! <3)

Kairo did not have a good childhood, which is to be expected having been born on Lanier island. Theft, crimes, and other such things were the most well known there. Kairo wasn’t really raised the best either, being told that stealing is the better way of life. Kairo would constantly be stealing from people that would pass through town, ending up in fights that left him bruised and beaten. His parents praised him though for sticking to it, yet he didn’t like it. He hated getting beat up, but he was a good fighter. He sometimes would also be picked on for how he looked, always being in fights with the local children.
He usually found moments in his life where he would try to learn about the world around him from any books he could buy with the stolen money he had.

There was a time a rescuer came through town on their way to a dungeon, Kairo attempted to steal from them but they were way too fast, grabbing him by the arm, reprimanding him and telling him ‘ there were different things in life instead of stealing, you just gotta go out and see the world. Maybe you’ll be a good rescuer perhaps.’’ He put Kairo down and handed him a pendent like scarf. After that, Kairo realized… maybe he was right, having been surprised by their strength and sharp eyes.

Sometimes he would go a bit outside of his home to learn the landscapes, taking notes and making sure what he would need to learn about on when he’s leave town. He wanted to make sure he was ready to go, to adventure well prepared for the unknown.

Kairo eventually left his town when he was an adult, traveling through the lands before making it to the place the man spoke of being a rescuer. He hated how populated it was there, but kept his hoodie up around. Whine he was exploring about the town, he eventually bumped into a dreepy girl who seemed to be lost, asking him where the rescuer signups are. Kairo was thinking it might be a good idea with a duo team with a timid person. He first told her he was too looking to be a rescuer, which made the dreepy girl spark in attention, was she truly a timid girl? He hoped so, as he was not ready to have a chatty teamate around, but he also didn't want to be paired up with an obnoxious person. Though what shocked him was how she told him about duties and things she knew about areas he did not know of just yet, finding here to be smart before just barreling into the sign ups for the job. He offered to her to make a team, with the exception that if he needs time alone to cool down, she could pair up with him.
