Their childhood in a nutshell.  My head canon though is that Thor was the one coming up with all of the impulsive schemes that got them into trouble, and Loki was left to facepalm, groan, and speed after his brother (in arms) to pick up the pieces that would inevitably fall apart.

Loki: now Thor, I've come up with this incredibly clever plan which is sure to work
