Everyone misses Risty as her own person. I find it amuseing, however, that all the original Evo characters- Spyke, X-23, whoever- all the characters they pushed at us had a fairly negative reaction (at least from the older croud), while Risty who was, essentially, a plot device became very popular. Probably because she was such a good counter for Rogue. Or somethin'.

That's a really good point actually 
yeah, it was probably because Rogue really needed a foil and a friend. And because they didn't try hard to make her cool. She was just there so Rogue wouldn't be talking to herself (well, and to spy on the xmen).
And just on a personal note, I love Duncan. And he was new. And Taryn. And what there was of Paul. The little side characters who round things out

I dunno- Duncan and Taryn never really got enough screne time for me to develop an oppinion on them. Eppisodes like "Uprising" and "Mainstream", however- good stuff.
And everyone agrees Paul rocks. That's why I put him in one of my videos. *giggles*
I actually would have liked to see more of the 'little side characters'... We got to see plenty of mutant-mutant interactions between the X-Men and the Brotherhood, or Acolytes, or whomever, but never really any mutant-human interactions. The closest we got to that, I think, were Risty (who wasn't even human), Duncan and Amanda. Risty being the most interesting because she was human (supposibly), she was a friend (not a love interest- again supposibly ^_~), and after she found out that Rogue was a mutant, she stuck around. It was very interesting to me, atleast.
I'm pretty sure there was supposed to be a point somewhere up there. But... meh. It's gone now.

I loved Duncan ever since I saw him running with that big dopey grin going "Jean! I got us tickets to the Saidie Hawkins Dance!" I think he and Taryn make a really interesting backdrop sort of thing for human mutant relations, because Duncan is actually pretty cool with it (um, in a not-cool way, I grant you) and Taryn is actually kind of a bitch to Jean once it comes out.
Meh, hard to think straight and work at the same time.

I worked pretty much right off an evo screen shot from... power surge, I think. The rest of it was just me trying to figure out how to color. It's a long unfocussed process for me
