For Halloween Fan art ContestTook me about 16 to 17 days to do this and it's my first fan art ever and I think I did a good job.
I wanted to think of a good costume for my favorite characters of a novel I'm reading called Dreamkeepers it was hard at first until I thought of Gears of War 3 a game I now play, and it hit me. Drawing five characters of Dreamkeepers was a bit easy*from left to right*(Bast,Mace,Whip,Namah and Lilith) but the armor and weapons of Gears of War was hard, but I did it so here it is.

Anyway, it's a nice crossover. I think I get what your doing with the Dreamkeepers cast:
Dreamkeepers- Marines (obviously confirmed from this picture) Did you intend to make the Dreamkeepers look like the Gears of War crew? Bast=Marcus
Shock Troopers- Infected Marines (haven't played the GoW series yet, so I don't know what they're offically called)
Nightmares- Locust (I think)

Thanks, this was something that just came to me.
The contest was my first halloween fan-art contest so I was thinking, Dreamkeepers had blood and monster and and that time I got the game Gears of War 3 and I played it so much that I decided to draw the main cast of dreamkeepers wearing Gears of War Armor and weapons to fight the nightmares.
Took me 16 to 17 days to do this with alot of pic's I had to look at, and yes Whip has a gun to back up Mace.

Strange how spending hours of looking at them makes then instantly recognizable, but to actually replicate something like it, you still need references
Haven't done GW3 (yet), but spend plenty of time on the first 2

All I did was look at the characters of the Dreamkeepers and did a few sketches and I got there looks right and then I put the armor and the weapons and the background was just random.
Dude GW3 is AWESOME it blew my mind....twice

Heck, for Whip you could probably have had him pull a gun's trigger with his tail... But very good job with all the details of the costume ^.^

oh that took me alot of time to think of a weapon for whip to use, I thought he could use the cleaver (big knife) but it was too big for him so I gave him the pistol instead his hands are small enough to pull the trigger on the gun to fire it. I made sure all the character use weapons that are good for them to use right.
