"Omega's Reflection" an in progress sculpture. The clay work for the piece. This is my first face as well as being my first time working with clay. I started with a rough negative to get the basic head shape formed. Let it dry until the inside was dry enough to hold shape and the face side was still wet. While still wet I did the majority of the shaping. After completely dry I cleaned up all the lines. I took around 6-7 hours shaping not counting dry times. I think I got the mouth satisfactory, humorously the septum was so frustrating I cut it out in the end. When completed it is intended to be viewed as a scene where the subject remains static and the audience is mobile. As the viewer moves through the scene it will "play out" what the subject is experiencing. Materials- Steel, Wood, Copper, Glass, Natural Clay(terracotta color), Bentonite Calcium Clay(mixed w/ paint instead of water), Plaster, Stain, Acrylic Paint and Plastic Container to secure to copper to mold around.

ALL income from the sale of any art that I produce goes to support charitable causes. I will be starting volunteer trips in 2024. The first one will be to Brazil for an immersive language course in Portuguese for up to 4 weeks and then I will be placed with a community development program for an additional 4 weeks.
