I've recently wanted to work on sculpting more dynamic poses. This sculpture was kind of an experiment, but I'm liking the result so far! I nailed part of the wire armature into a wooden base. that way I could work on sculpting a pose without worry about it having to balance and stand on it's own.
I recently finished playing through Okamiden(super cute and fun game, go play it!). Chibiterasu is just so adorable, I really wanted to make an extra special sculpt of him. <3
I would like to incorporate some flowers around his back feet in the finished piece(similar to the ones pictured here: [link] ), but I really don't want to have to sculpt a bunch of flowers. XD I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions on whether I might be able to find tiny fake flowers that I may be able to add to the final piece.
Chibiterasu is made with Super Sculpey over a wire and foil armature.

I know what you mean about the pose thing, I really want to make some sculptures with really interesting pose too!

I cant wait to see this when it is done,
I wish I knew where to get tiny flowers, the best idea i have is buying a little flower clay cane and glueing the slices to thin wire that you paint green, and getting a leaf cane for the leaves.

Thank you, it was really fun to be able to work with a different pose like this! I definitely need to work on getting him finished. I'm starting to feel really pressed for time to finish the things I'm working on for the convention I'm going to at the end of the month. o_o

Oh my goodness... this is so adorable! I love the dynamic pose idea. Can't wait to see more of this one and others yet to come!
As far as flowers go, I've seen some molds for small flowers at ACMoore and Michaels. ^.^ That way you would still have the consistency of sculpture without the added hassle of making a bunch of tiny flowers. Or you could buy little flower beads/buttons

Very tiny! The sculpture is only a few inches tall, so the flowers will need to be very, very little. XD
