Description A haiga inspired by one of my most spectacular nights of stargazing earlier this winter. The Double Cluster was an absolutely jaw-dropping sight, even with light-polluted skies and a small telescope. Even better, I got to share that experience with my little brothers.

The Double Cluster (Caldwell 14) consists of two open star clusters (NGC 869 and NGC 884) in the constellation Perseus. It's visible with the naked eye, but you need a telescope or binoculars to resolve the cluster into its components, as astronomer William Herschel discovered when he observed it in the early 19th Century. As you can see here, the sheer number of stars is staggering.
