Nice! I have a friend who is a Kung Fu exponent, and a makeup artist. Whe she started working as a makeup artist, we gave her one of those folding high-chairs they use, made from wood and black canvas. On the canvas chair back, I put a hot pink silhouette of her performing a sword form move, with her pony tail flying. It looked really cool.

So, yeah, I love the whole flying-ponytail-silhouette-martial-arts thing! You can kind of see it in this photo...

Are you the one performing the kick? What kind of Karate is it you are training?

I remotely recognize the kick - is it a 'maashegeri'(expect a spelling error or two)?

round house seems like a fitting description for the one I have in mind.

I haven't heard of this branch of Karate. How is it like? How much have you trained? What belt do you have?

It is indeed an awesome martial art. I train Shotokan Karate, and have done so for seven years, and have achieved brown belt, 3.kyu. It is very interesting that you upload those pictures!

Awesome. I admire your dedication.. Several times i have thought about leaving... But am glad i did not. Your rank is so high! Would people call you senpai? Thats what you would be to me.. I have heard of Shotokan

Fishermang In reply to leela9 [2004-11-02 14:33:04 +0000 UTC]

Nah, people don't call me anything at all . The only title we use is sensei, and that is for the instructors. There are so many different branches of Karate, or martial arts in general, and they have so many differences, that it might be very interesting to study each and every of them.

I have had the same urge to leave quite a few times myself. And I am very glad I never did, because it has given extremely much to me. Cool that you kept on too!
