Fun fact: I accidentally drew this reconstruction with the erroneous conclusion that this was Iguanodon bernissartensis while doing studies, and found out that it was not! Don't worry, the paper I found the skull from wasn't sure about it, either. These two genera have had a storied history in paleo!

The iguanodont Mantellisaurus atherfieldensis may have existed temporally and locationally close to its more famous relative, Iguanodon, ranging from 145-113 mya in western Europe. Graphite drawing, updated from a 2019 sketch.
