May is....
International Victorious Woman Month
Mental Health Month
Strike Out Strokes Month
National Inventors Month
Gifts from the Garden Month
For International Victorious Woman Month, I did Megan Rapinoe, who won a gold medal in soccer at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London. She also won the 2015 FIFA Women's World Cup and 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup. She's also stood up against racism, sexism, homophobia and artificial turf.
Green is the color of mental health awareness. I at first picked the umbrella and book because they were green but they can be symbolic. The book could be a symbol for education. The umbrella could be a symbol for a need for people with mental problems to find a way to cope that works for them. The lotus is a symbol for healing from mental problems because it starts out in mud and grows up until it breaks through the water. The butterflies and phoenix have similar symbolism.
The image for National Inventors Month is made up of items related to inventions by women. I will post this separately like I did the one with Elvis references so you can see it in greater detail and have a greater explanation.
June is the month of weddings, so every day in may will feature a famous bride from history, literature or pop culture.
