This seriously happened while I was on vacation.I was taking the Double Battle Test in Nimbasa City. Me and my opponent were down to our last Pokemon. My Servine, who was paralyzed by an earlier encounter with a Vileplume, against a fully-healed and stat-buffed Emboar.
Monty's moves:
Leech Seed
Giga Drain
Reflect
Light Screen
Emboar's moves:
Rest
Curse
Sleep Talk
Gyro Ball
After a tediously long and exhausting battle, who do you think won?
Spoiler alert, Monty won.
Giga Drain actually ran out of PP at some point, so the only thing that could be done was stall. And stall. And stall. Fortunately, Monty's pretty good at that. Healing moves, good defensive stats, Reflect/Light Screen, and Eviolite. In the end, after abusing Rest over and over, the big piggy finally succumbed to Leech Seed.
If this wasn't a Crowning Moment of Awesome for the smug little snake, I don't know what is.

Wow this reminds me of Tuesday when I went and fought Ghestis.
He had 5 pokemon and I had 6. He chose out his hacked Hydreigon and it totally wiped out my team except my Scrafty and my Scrafty went and took out the rest of Ghestis' pokemon by himself. I was proud that day!

Ahaha YES. This is great! I'm glad I chose Snivy (now Serperior) for my starter, too, although Vetinari (as I named him) is a bit more combat-oriented. This here really proves the versitality of Pokemon.
...It's a good thing Emboar didn't know any Fire-type moves, though...

He ain't evolvin'. And I already turned down the opportunity to learn Coil. Coil wouldn't benefit him much, considering his only attack is Giga Drain, which is both Special and has good accuracy.
