i'm trying to crosspost these more often--if the formatting looks odd, its due to being frames of a gif previously. this was a big hit though for tumblr and its a pretty sloppy example, but its the basics of how i do the visual trick sometimes of ornate detailing without actually breaking my hand. i paint my own patterns and use photos i've taken.
