DOGGOONS are a closed species by me, please do not make your own unless I permit you to.
Please remember that these are species canons, but you are free to ignore or go along with them as you please.

overview
• doggoons are a draconic race that is aligned with wind and fire
• ALL doggoons have a preference for large weaponry, even the assassins and magick users
• they specialize in instantaneous magicks ( such as temporary weapon imbuement )
• doggoons are sensitive to the cold, their firepit mechanics are important to their survival.
• in general you will find they are curious, and flighty, but don't be fooled, they can be very intense.
• most will have a cloak in their inventory, sometimes worn, sometimes not.
• sometimes they are nicknamed small fireballs for the way their twirl
• they are frequently known to be employed as mercenaries

physiology
• doggoons have prominent canines
• their note-worthy trait are their gradient, draconic looking eyes
• most have healthy able bodies to explore and travel
• the more draconic their traits, the more magick potent and revered they are

FIREPIT
sometimes called the "hearth" is the center of their heat collection. It fills like a vial to be used when they require the warmth, especially in colder regions.
Doggoons may share heat with each other through warm puffs of air if they wish.
Their source of heat may come from anywhere: campfires, the sun, warm food, someone elses body, etc.

doggoons who run out of heat are dangerous.
Once in the state of coldness a drastic change to their personality is visible. Their battle lust will reach an all time high and an added cruelty to any that cross their path is the consequence. Doggoons that do not find a heat source within three days of this state will be permanently unable to store any more heat in their body. They have become "corrupted" and to any other doggoons they are beings that need to be killed-on-sight. In short, they are exiled if not to meet their death. Corrupted doggoons are cruel beings. The only way they may be able to gain the usage of their firepit again is through the willing sacrifice of another doggoon to transfer their own firepit to the corrupted doggoon. Thus most corrupted doggoons are known to be manipulative and will do anything to regain what they have lost. Corrupted doggoons may seem paler/darker in comparison.

magicks
doggoon magick is instantaneous and short, as they prefer to be on-the-go. Those who pursue the art of a long-cast are rare and small in number.
weapon imbuement is a common art. It is wordless and requires only the will of their mind. Their eyes may flash in brighter color for second as they instill the element of wind and fire into the weapon of their choice. More experienced doggoons will know how to use the magick to cast temporary buffs of speed, heat or any other variation. Doggoon magick is limited in usage.

It is not uncommon that some doggoons are raised without the knowledge of doggoon magicks. Some also may be incapable of magicks if they were born sickly.
