Description I removed and edited several traits
So if anyone has changes that need to be made feel free to note me!!

doggoons
• They are scattered towards the globe and often resemble the terrain the live in
• Semi-cold blooded: hypersensitive to the cold, they require warmth to be gathered in their hearth
• Doggoon eyes have gradient irises with slit pupils, they glow temporarily during the short instance they use magic
• Adept weaponcrafters and wielders, often being employed as mercenaries
• Descended from their ancestral dragons that roamed the plains and canyons
• The type of magicks they use is instantaneous burst-elemental: fire & wind-aligned applied generally to wielded objects
• Cloaks are both cultural and functional, they keep them warm and also portray the individual doggoon to others, it's an important trait to their society
• Most are travelers: they are normally warm and friendly unless confronted, then they can snarl, baring their fangs and prepare to fight

physiology
• Gradient irises, slit pupils
• Prominent canines
• Humanoid-paw feet
• Firepit "Hearth" is the center of their energy fuel
• Corruption is a mutation that happens when their firepit runs out of fuel
• Tail is on average 1:1.5 on body to tail ratio, sometimes with lifeline markings
• Physically strong

Doggoons always have gradient, iridescent-like irises. This is a trait that never changes.

These species collect heat in their firepit, a trait that evolved from the need to adapt to maintain their energy and body function in any kind of weather condition. Particularly this applies to colder climates which they are weak to due to their cold blood. The firepit or the "hearth" is located in the center of their chest; to the right of their heart. It can be imagined as a vial, filling up and emptying depending on temperature conditions and how much heat they need to keep themselves warm. They  need to refuel when low on heat and can only last for so long without warmth before they may begin to mutate and corrupt: a dangerous state where doggoons then become trapped in a permanently battle-like state, disrupting control over sensible thought or empathy for others. Corrupt doggoons are usually exiled from their communities with an order to kill on sight because of the potential harm they can bring to others. Corruption can only be reversed if another doggoon willing sacrifices and transfers their healthy hearth to the corrupted member, thereby switching their states, otherwise it is a permanent condition with dire chances of survival. On a side note doggoons can also transfer some of their warmth through a warm wispy steam they breathe out of their noses/mouths.

Corrupted doggoons may inherit more draconic traits such as more prominent rune markings, large claws, scales, or horns.

Doggoons are physically strong creatures who generally rely on strength before magicks. Magicks are only used to supplement their agility and strength. They are flightful creatures who enjoy to dance and twirl with their cloaks and tails. Most often doggoons become mercenaries of weaponscrafters, though some may pick up different professions. Even those that prefer a different route than the common trademark of their culture will still have a tantalizing like for large weaponry and physical body-aligned gimmicks.

magicks
• Instantaneous, they generally last a several seconds to a minute. Not many last any longer than that.
• Doggoon magicks are imbued into wielded objects.

doggoon magick is instantaneous and short, as they prefer to be on-the-go. Those who pursue the art of a long-cast are rare and small in number. Those with rarer draconic traits such as the third eye and more rune markings are the ones that are more proficient in doggoon magicks, being able to make them either last longer or imbue them into more than wielded objects. However, even those with proficiency with dogoon magicks rarely are able to do so.

weapon imbuement is a common art. It is wordless and requires only the will of their mind. Their eyes may flash in brighter color for second as they instill the element of wind and fire into the weapon of their choice. More experienced doggoons will know how to use the magick to cast temporary buffs of speed, heat or any other variation. Doggoon magick is limited in usage.

They derive the magicks from the fire and wind element, which is why they are short and swift in characteristic, along with having the potential to give life to objects (in the sense of speed, fire, other buffs etc.)
It is not uncommon that some doggoons are raised without the knowledge of doggoon magicks. Some also may be incapable of magicks if they were born sickly.

other
•  They are curious and full of energy, making great explorers and playful fighters
•  They have a big appetite
•  Sometimes they have companion creatures (more on this later)
•  No, their heat source does not come only from other doggoons, they can come from anywhere that produces heat
•  Doggoons can burn to death, they are not immune to fire, nor to winds
•  Trait mutations exist, they are super rare

Doggoons are a closed species!

I do not own individual traits like paws or ears but the combination of story, traits, culture, design aesthetic is something I would like to remain closed unless permitted.
Please do not heavily trace, reference, copy their story and design aesthetic because that is offensive to the time and effort I've put into gathering all the references, combining elements, refining their aesthetic, solidifying their concept, etc. They are also personal to me and I would be deeply saddened, enraged, disappointed to see someone rip off the concept just to make profit for themselves. I thank you for respecting my wishes!
