Take a sharpie and just go! no pencils no nothing no guides no bs. Just take a marker and start going. This bled like CRAZY!!! originally I wanted a crisp squared off look but the bleeding changed the outcome. Feels good to be semi back dont get used to it just yet everyone. I still have to sift through what? 88 deviations?

a lot of people say he looks tough or mean I think he looks rather dorky hahaha but thats just me I dont look at this with the same eyes you guys do.

And I must say, the deep shadows (as always) are KILLER! I can see the drawing's not as crisp as you might have hoped, but it's got a nice flavor nonetheless.
Love to see anything new. Sketches, new comic material, everything!

Batman is the only super-hero I've ever taken any liking to, mainly because he wasn't stuffed to the gills with ridiculous powers that seemingly came from nowhere or from an equally ridiculous source.
This reminds me a lot of the old Batman, before the revamps of the newest movies and all. Granted, the appearance isn't that different between the "now" and "then" character, but this just seems to ring more of the original Bruce Wayne and his misadventures. All the black realy gives off that pivotal "hero or villain" line that Batman is always treading on.
Great stuff, glad to see you back. That is some crazy penwork, bloody hell that is something I could never do without using pencil first. I'm too much of a control freak to just go at stuff with only a pen.

I agree good ol batsy is more "real" and Batman Begins where it showed his ninja training by the league of shadows was wild. I was never big on stuff like X men although I can appreciate the story telling involved. Yeah and I DID want to throw back a little here. The gray suit with the yellow oval on the chest. Over the years I dont think any super hero has been fiddled with more. Making his costume and weapons sleeker and etc. But you know me I put my guys on paper raw and gritty, very in your face. Yeah the cool thing about batsy is that his life is a dark shadow really-inside he's miserable and like you said he sometimes acts as an anti hero and I totally dig that so he works in darkness as well as light.
hahahaha yeah I was like screw it stop trying to control everything and just let go! if this didnt bleed out like a hemophiliac it wouldnt be that bad. But yeah I am sort of back and trust me it feels good.
