Personality

Chiru is a compassionate person. This in turn makes her want to help others out in the best possible way. It is because of this, Chiru took on the role of a social worker. As it would allow her to help as many people as possible. Despite her caring nature, Chiru knows when to be strict and disiplining to her clients. As she understands that being too nice can lead to them trying to take advantage of her. This method has been know to fail her a few times. As she doesn't try to treat clients as just clients and equals, but mainly as children for her to raise and look out for.

History

Chiru was one of the few Beastmen that managed to live an okay life. This was mostly do to the fact that she was one of the few beastman, that had a pretty large Beastman form. One that allowed her to defend many smaller Beastmen that tried to escape being killed. All of this accumulated in her wanting to help everyone. When Anima City was built, Chiru and her family were one of the first residence to move to it. Her involvement with the city's governing body regulated her to work as a social worker. As many of the civilians were those that had faced many forms of trauma from humans. Chiru would get a number of cases that were either kids, teens, or young adults that each had varying success rates. Eventually she would get a case that would lead to her adopting this client. Which caused some controversy among the staff. But was allowed when everyone agreed that many new Anima citizens were orphans. Thus Chiru would go on to raise her client, Mizu. While also dealing with many other clients.

Abilities

Like all beastman, Chiru can shapeshift between her true beastman form and a human disguise. Nothing from her beatman form is really carried over to the human form. The only really noticeable thing was that she was really tall and had hair colored like the beastman skin. When in her beastman form, Chiru's main weakness is staying hydrated. For if she gets too dry, she is at risk of heatstroke and death.

Natural Swimmer: As an Orca based Beastman, Chiru is a natural born swimmer. Able to move at speeds that keep pace with fishing boats when really moving. Because of her size however, Chiru need to be in deep water to get a proper start. Thus she has to be very far from a shore line before she actually can dive or swim.

Echolocation: Chiru's beastman form has echo location that allows her to sense things all around her. She is capable of using this ability in her human form. But it is less effective. The in water use can also be disrupted by ship or submarine radars. Thus leaving her unaware of something coming towards her.

Blubber: Chiru's beastman form has a thick layer of blubber that insolates her from colder climates and water. This also allows her to strug off blunt attacks from other beastmen and blunt weapons. When faced with sharp weapons however, she will be injured by them. Same can be said by bullets. But they will not be able to dig deep enough to kill her.

Relationships

Mizu

Chiru treats and sees Mizu has her own son. This is enhanced by how she has adopted him when he moved into Anima City as a teenager. Since then, Chiru has done her best to be patient with him and help him be able to socialize. Such things are appreciated by Mizu. But at times backs fire as Chiru once in a while misunderstands him and certain situations. Best example is that she believes that Mizu has a hard time dealing with certain textures of food. When it is actually the flavor of the food. Even with these short comings, Chiru loves Mizu and wants him to be able to care for himself and be on his own one day.

Sobek

Sobek is one of Chiru's more troubled clients. So much so, Chiru only really ever resorts to physical threat with Sobek. Especially whenever she catches him making another scene in public. Because of this, Sobek fears Chiru, but knows she wants to help.

Jacks

Chiru is well acquainted with Jacks. Sometimes even chanting with one another in Jack's diner. The way they interact is in many ways like a married couple. When the truth is they are just friends. Something they sometimes wish didn't happen.

Nadia

Though Chiru hasn't known Nadia for a long time. She is glad that the salamander is making Mizu happy. But makes it clear to Nadia that if she hurts Mizu in any way, she will be facing a hard slap from an orca tail. Something Nadia understands and often times fears.
