He looks like he wants a hug, but be could easily crush someone with those arms! I love the pose, though. ^..^
If you want some suggestions on improving this, then here's what I think. You should put this character on a black background, or fix the lighting so more of his body and his head are easier to see. For the pose, I think you should reposition his tail to the other side so it's more visible. Finally, on the anatomy, he's a very bulky guy, but his lower legs look very skinny and that looks rather odd. I think that's the most important think for improving this creature. I also think his chest and shoulder width should be reduced a little to make him more realistic, but that's more of a personal preference. Keep up the good work!
