Thanks for noticing my picture alone, it was done on a day that I was in the mood to paint and it just came very easily. One of those paintings that flow. I appreciate your kindness

Well I wish that was all together true, sometimes when I do a portrait I get very upset. I have a hard time if I don't feel the subject. There has been times that I actually cry, the fun painting is when I just don't expect what is going to turn out. It just happens like Alone and Last Dance, maybe lots of them. I hate the pressure of portraits, that is why I don't like doing them but that seems to be what I am best at. Why I don't know but thanks for understanding. You are so right about having that special feeling when a painting is done and it is done without thinking to much about what is happening. Love it, Lavida

portraits and commission work in general is enough to bring any of us to tears... it is really difficult sometimes to do something that we know the buyer must just love.... it is a lot of pressure.
yes, and when you have finished a painting and are actually taken aback by what you just did it is great... it is fun to be impressed by yourself sometimes.
keep up the good work and just go for it.
