Description I did this for incase i ever whant to animate him speaking n such... i may throw some stuff together and make a few short clips of his face talking or something i dono. but i will need to get some better animation programs first before i do so. in the mean time heres what he looks like when he pronounces different Vowels and Consonants. i referances an Animation book i had it helped me to match the lips with the sound.

Yep for refs on the mouth movements for spacific sounds when doing lip syncing to a prerecorded voice. U also set up the timing of the sequence using soundforge. So that u watch the frames corectly.

You could push some of the mouth positions to be more extreme but it looks good.

Absolutely fantastic looking. I'm impressed with how much detail you've put in to just making ME mimic the mouth movements to coincide with his. Two thumbs up! ( )

That is really neat looking, I love F&V one, mostly cause he looks like he is trying very hard to not break out into a laugh. XD

Probably not the attention, but that is sorta what came to mind.

Cool - reminds me of my "lip-synch" exercice back in art school - our animation teachers made half the class pose for lips position and the other half had to draw them
Which book was it ? Williams' "Animator Survival kit" is very good about how to deal with lip synchronization, but doesn't give much refs IMO

Cartoon animation by Preston blair its a great book with lotsa examples on timing and cycles etc...

yea we had assignments like that only it was prety much this is what you have to do... go do it... use your book for examples or get a mirror. alotta us would end up acting out our animations in class and for that reason there is now an Mirror in the animation Lair as we call it at our school... erm was my school i keep forgetting I'm done... it hasnt sunk in yet lol!

Oh yeah, we had Blair's book as well in our library at school. For some obscure reason, we were told to buy "Animator's survival kit" individually, but not Preston Blair"s "Cartoon animation" - well, obscure for me, because I personally prefer when I'm showed how to do something rather than being explained how to do it
