a bud from one of my mother's rose bushes. apparently if i had been with her a few days ago i could have gotten pictures of massive buds from this same plant. unfortunately those buds had frozen and were cut off. this and the following pics were all taken when, for a brief moment, the sun came out from behind the rain clouds. 'twas beautiful in the back yard right then.
