I came to return the favor of a llama... and saw your art. This one... grabbed my attention, and hasn't let go yet. The piercing gaze in his eyes, set off by the gorgeous blue, are mesmerizing. I love the details, like the kinda of scruffy 5 o' clock shadow, and the splatters of blood. He looks determined and rather fierce here. I'm guessing he's giving the two finger salute.. and it fits so well with the overall mood I get from looking at this. Such brilliant work. You really deserve more attention. Work this good is rare any more, even on here.

You summed up this image very well; the character is determined, fierce, and is supposed to show a bit of contempt (which you get with the two finger salute). The whole image is intended to be a sort of "fuck you". Thank you again for looking, and watching, and leaving me such an awesome comment!

I'm wondering if this is like saying a big "Fuck You" to the people that got you down previously. You Aussies use that hand sign as a bad thing, don't you? Cause Americans (and maybe Europeans?) don't consider that offensive.
Fantastic work, especially the eyes. I was drawn to how red they are, and while someone mentioned the dark circles, I just want to say "Drunk Devin!" I don't think he's ever been in a bar fight, has he? That should change. Go punch the Greylunder.
I just happen to notice a bit of smoothing going on between the background and the image, particularly the chainmail, and I wonder what it might look like if you sharpened that up a bit.

I've been so busy with life, I haven't really gotten to see your profile in a long time. I'm so sorry about everything! I was telling someone about your work, an aspiring artist, and when I went to go show him your artwork, I saw that everything had gone into storage and read your journal. I'm glad to see this uploaded because I have missed you.

Ah, Lancerey. You're back. :3 I've missed your work, and your you, since you left. I have very much missed you. Lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and lots and... well, you get the idea... I was kinda having fun with the lotseses though...
As is always the case with your work, I think this is amazing. I love the textures you used on his armor, and I love how actually metallic it looks. I have no criticism to offer on that score. Likewise the blood is very well done, as other people have commented, it makes me wonder what just happened, I'm guessing he probably just got done punching someone's face, because there's not really enough blood for it to be anything more violent. I also question why he's holding up too fingers, it almost seems like he's giving someone their second warning...
Moving to the face, the first thing I noticed was the eyes, they're very blue, and they seem to just jump out at me. They're absolutely beautiful and I adore them. The dark circles around his eyes make me feel like he hasn't slept in a while or maybe that he's under an inordinate amount of stress, or both. The set of his mouth and jaw make him seem very unhappy, and his face almost looks a little sunken... so maybe he's been ill? I'm really impressed with your work on this piece, all of your stuff is good, but the amount you've managed to portray in simple, subtle ways is astounding.
His hair looks unwashed and sorta dreadlock-y, I'm not sure if that was done intentionally or not, but it would fit (in my mind at least) with him being ill.
Ah, I've missed seeing stuff from you when I log in, I've missed seeing pieces that I actually care about, and having an artist whose work I truly enjoy contributing. I'm not going to go all first-paragraph on you, and break my lotseseseses out again, though. It's good to see you back, and I'm glad you're still painting. <3

wow this is great! if the hair were longer and there was a hook shaped scar from the corner of his mouth to just under his eye he would look like a OC i had many- MANY years ago. His name was Winston Hook and he was a mercenary for hire.
(Esp the eyes! I love how you draw eyes- they are always full of life!)

This is looking really cool, your drawing and painting are solid as always, and I don't even know why his hand would be in that state but whatever it was it must have been cool. xD
Watch out to not over-stringify the hair though!

I really do like this picture, it has a lot of attention to minor details. And it makes me want to know what happened. Like....did he just punch someone?
I really hope you start posting more, because seeing your art makes me want to try harder at my own drawing skills.
