Decent photo, but if you are for a bit of constructive criticism there are areas to improve this. First, I am not sure if you are aiming to say something with the umbrella in focus and you blurred, but the blurring isn't extreme enough to add to that effect. I think the piece would even be better if both the umbrella and subject, which by its category is likely you, were in focus. The dress and umbrella patterns play nicely. You can achieve this greater area of focus by using a higher f-stop, like f22 or even f12. If you meant to push yourself out of focus, then I would add more distance between you and the umbrella, and use a very low f-stop, below f4 if possible, this would exaggerate that effect.

Next, try at all costs to avoid on camera flash. It causes nasty flares and shadows that almost always make it obvious an on camera flash is used and takes away from the photo. Either bouncing your flash off a white card or ceiling to create a fill light, or placing a light source off to the side would benefit this shot. The shot itself though shows of a good idea with potential.
