That's a great-looking sketch. Wow. I like the facial structure and his hair. This probably wasn't anywhere near what you were going for, but it reminds me of that "Take On Me" video by A-Ha.
It looks nice, is what I'm saying.

You know, to be truthful, I never enjoyed the original "Ghost in the Shell" movie. After hearing people claim that it was marvelously complex and overly intellectual, I was naturally interested, so I gave it a rent. I popped the subbed version into my VCR, laid back, and prepared myself for quite a show. Now, as you may know, sci-fi is my most beloved field of fantastical works, so expectations were high.
After less than a half hour of the movie, however, I was so disappointed and largely disgusted with the lack of quality that I turned it off. It reminded me of "Akira," and what a horrible let down that was.
My words may sound harsh, so I apologize to anyone who is a fan of either movie, but I didn't like them. At all. 
Naturally, I also love your sketch. Any fan art of this marvelous series is bound to be appreciated by me, because it's a dedication to a more than worthy source of inspiration. You definitely caught the character's looks accurately in your own depiction, and with simple pencil strokes, added a world of dimensionality. It's awesome.
