Optimus looks AWESOME.
What really sells it isn't the little touches like his blue beret or those earphones...it's how OLD he seems to look. He doesn't seem much more than middle-aged, but he looks like an old soldier.
I can easily see him saying something like this. "I feel so...old. Some days, I feel so very old. I'm tired. So tired of fighting, so tired of war, so tired of seeing my friends die and worlds burn. But, for the sake of freedom and humanity, until this war is finally over, by Primus I swear that I will never stop fighting."
