Description
Me? Making new custom brushes every time I make a new illustration with a bg?
It's more likely than you think.
Anyway here are the grass and foliage brushes I used for the hamefura fan art
I often switch between the different bitmap and scatter modes and usually
the actual settings I have used on a particular part of the illustation
are between me and god.
(ok to be fair since I can't remember the settings at all the moment I decide to change them)
-- Grass --
How I use this brush:
1. With a normal brush, paint splotches on ground using several hues of your liking
2. Using the grass brush, add grass blades to the edges of the splotch. Start from the furthermost splotches and work your way towards the viewer/camera
3. Accessorize! This isn't some Karen's front lawn, adding all kinds of little plants and flowers looks pretty. I used the foliage brush here and there uwu

-- Foliage --
How I use this brush:
1. Start by coloring the bush with the darkest color you're gonna use with the bucket tool
2. Add lighter and lighter areas with the foliage brush. So basically just like adding shadows but the other way around!

-- Downloading instructions --
1. Download the png image of the brush from the linked sta.sh
2. At least in Medibang you can just drag the downloaded png file to the brush list
3. The new brush will be added to the bottom of the list, double click the brush there and copy the settings from this image
These brushes are ok to use for artwork for commercial purposes. No need to credit!
