This last line that Garr says to Ryu before they go up against Myria... it made me wibble.

So yeah I've been replaying Breath of Fire III. It's the first time in almost 7 years, apparently. I drew Garr the last time I did, too XD He's buried deep in my gallery. I love Garr so much. And this time around I have been thinking a lot about his relationship with Ryu. I think that Garr is sort of a mentor/father figure to Ryu. The fact that they sit the exact same way when Ryu is grown? I think it's so cute.

There is not a lot of art out there, of Garr. Of course, he's my favorite character. I love this character type... The broody, soulful anti-hero type... And he's a big ol' boy, I love me some big boys. I think he's so fascinating, and I want to explore so much more of his character. What the fuck did he do with himself for those 400 years? How did he fall in with Balio and Sunder? So many unanswered questions!

I actually started writing a fic all those years ago XD I even gave him a love interest (she was Balio/Sunder's sister, I know, I'm so damn original), but that didn't get too far.

Anybody else dig this game or even remember it? My hubby was so kind, listening to me rant about it for ages, lol. Eri doesn't really care much for RPGs.
