Last night I decided to take a quick break from working... and clean the rest of the very yummy Driscoll [link] strawberries... I realized that they truly looked beautiful in my Clement Clayworks collander... so I had to have a picture 
After making a quick attempt without a tripod
I went for the tripod... and had just called for my sweet hubby Bob =TThealer to come help me ('cos I wanted ALL the strawberries in focus... and he's the guru!).......and I had made 2 shots
when a severe thunderstorm hit the Kansas City Metro area 
...and between the torrential 
and high winds in excess of 50 miles per hour (80.4672 km)... WHAM! ...out went our electricity!! 
Our local electric company suddenly found themselves with more than 20,000 homes without electricity!
Our power was out 3 hours and 45 minutes... we were one of the first to be back
...but many homes are still without power Anways
...Bob used a flashlight (that can be worn on your head) to finish cleaning the strawberries 
...and we sat in the light of some candles that Lindsay made... and enjoyed their yummy goodness! 
Glad I got at least one good shot before the storm hit!
