Description On our way home from North Carolina at the first of the month, we saw this Hudson Hornet [link] in traffic on I-40 in Asheville, North Carolina

After reading the Wiki article, I now know that you're looking at a car that could easily be as old as I am ...and some days that feels REALLY old!!

Shot from the passenger's window on the motorhome at 60 miles per hour, while my sweet hubby Bob =TThealer drove
yes, I intentionally blurred the license plate to protect the innocence of the owner

I drive a little Honda S2000 with a 2.2 liter four cylinder engine; it gets 17mpg, but boy can that sucker move!

well, you're doing better than we do with the motorhome (but, of course, we justify the reduced miles per gallon with the fact that we don't have hotel & restaurant bills ) ...but, I'll bet that old Hornet was a true gas guzzler ...probably could pass anything but a gas station

You don't see one of those every day. Hudson was my dads car of choice till you couldn't get them anymore. I'd say this one probably dates around 1951 to 53.

Thanks for the Dave!

My father would've loved to see that car! He loved old cars, and there's this one that drives through our town with a Suitecase on the back! It's one of those ones that you'd think of being in London in the 1800s or something >>
