This is a signature for a browsergame named World-of-Dungeons (short WoD) that I play. If you wnat to know more, contact me. I'd be glad to help you out.
The gray you see is the forums backgroundcolor which allowes us "banner-designers" to have a fake transparency. Here it also acts as a frame to the picture itself.

Basically what I do, due to lack of skill, is take a picture of an artist that I admire in some way, put his oder her picture in a 600x200px frame to fit it into a signature for the game and modify everything around it so that it matches a theme in some way.

If someone feels stepped on a foot because of this and wants to see me hang off a pole, then look for thousands of other people who do this too and hang them, but let me just know about your opinion and I'll remove this.
