I simply adore this baka couple and this manga. Truly, a masterpiece. The anime brought the music to life and I discovered so many new favourite pieces of classical music. I've heard a lot about Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso but haven't had the chance to watch the anime, though I hear it's a tear-jerker. But Nodame is so much more. The humour is spot on, the music is fantastic and the force that moves the plot and the characters. The romance between Nodame and Chiaki, while not overt, has a charm of its own; a bittersweet relationship born from their love of music which is constantly bringing them together or pulling them apart. And the emotions that drive all the characters! Whoever said that musicians are crazily passionate people did not exaggerate.
