Completely impractical, yes. Terrible to drive, not really. I owned one of these in triple black. It was pretty good to drive if you remembered it's not a sports car, which for me was easy enough since at that time my other car was a Porsche. I had some very nice dates in this car and it was a great highway cruiser. I owned it back in the CB radio craze days and my handle was 'Lincoln Starship'.

What's funny about those big tanks is how grossly underpowered they were. Had gigantic engines, but very little horsepower. Love the style, though!
