so cool. I love the fact that the Australian army was involved. especially since they have the 303 rifle.

In the Philippines, we call this position as "Tanghal" or presentation. The command is "Tanghal, Ta!" which means "Present Arms"

one towards the left of the picture looks like he is wearing a Australian Slouch Hat holding a .303 so im assuming he is in fact depicting Commonwealth forces such as Australian WW2 or WW1.

yep, I forget for which group.
They're all british/scottish military uniforms through a couple centuries.

Thanks for the comment! I'm glad you like it.

It's even worse in woodland.
In America, they call it ACU. In the UK, we call it ICU.

So England is going digital too. I worked with British soldiers out of the IZ and did patrols with them down Route Sword, they were the desert rats or something. Funny guys, the most sexist, racist, hilarious drunkenist people I ever meet, but hard core on mission, I'll you that.

I dunno about going going digital just yet... I've seen some sort of modified DPM that has orange in the mix, but we'll have to see what PECOC comes up with first.

Think about if the the UK was like the old British Empire, and imagine if you will, that Canada, USA, Australia, Burma, India, Malaysia, South Africa, Sudan, Somalia, Rodesia (whatever its modern name is), new zealand, and the rest, were all just one Gigantic nation-state, Parliment would be huge, and London would be the most important city on earth. and he Nazi's would have been defeated in a few weeks. It would be awesome. But then I realised that all those bible-belt southerners would take over parliment and All of my imagined "United Empire" would be exactly like America, no health care, and conservatives running everything.

That's also brilliant.

This is cool, it shows the progression of one of a few great militaries worldwide. I'm in the U.S. Air Force myself, and I have great respect for the militaries of our allies.

i love the history behind it all, and the amount of care that goes into the uniforms, and the reasons behind they way they look.

There is no 'revolutionary era redcoat' there. Guy in red uniform is wearing a cork hat and carrying 19th century rifle, so he's probably reenacting colonial forces. There's no Vietnam Era british soldiers there either. Those with british FN FALs (or L1A1) are soldiers from Falkland War period (1980s), because they have newer design of uniform with DPM (Distruptive Pattern Materiel) camo, that is similar to the modern one. British Army in the 60s used either Olive Drab or jackets with 'Denison Smock' camo pattern.

I think he's refering to the pith helmeted redcoat, in which case he's wrong anyway because that's late 1800's garb.
