I posilutely love this coupling! I've seen some art of it a while ago, unfortunately, I can't seem to find those pieces... I'll say it again, I'm kinda surprised there's not more this, considering their names.

a friend and i thought about it like a year ago
cause i like knuckles and rouge together instead of him with rouge cause i just didn't really see them as a pairing too much just like they could become good friends. another common one is shadow and maria but beside the fact maria is gone, i think they had more of a sibling like relationship. then my friend mentioned shade's name and i was like "..why not?" i mean they both technically have at least met one another in chronicles. they both seem to have that dark and mysterious look to them. they're both got seprated from a time period they once knew (for shadow when he was on the ark with maria and for shade before she and the other echindas were sent kron conly or whater for like a thousand years i think i'm forgoting, oh and their both anti-heros too i guess
and there names kinda match each other too xD
