A pre-sequel to our two artworks we did last year featuring Arai, Argus, Deshi, and Gen'ei called The ruins of your kingdom, and The ruins of my kingdom.

Today, we present The ruins of our kingdom with Argus and Gen'ei, both a different race of merfolk forming an alliance.

The Forgotten realm had a rule. Should the time come, when humans find this place and try to dominate it, the two merfolk kingdoms will become one just for the sake of survival.
The ocean was lively, waves crashing against the cliff and splashing water everywhere, the salty smell in the air felt somehow calming and Gen’ei found themselves enjoying these little details as they silently accepted the alliance. The cold wind brushed their hair every once in a while but they didn't seem to mind one bit. Their focus was on the broad shoulders of the man in front of them, who silently, yet gently led them to the only place that didn't seem to be devastated by the power of people. Both passed by tall rocky cliffs shielding mating dolphins as if there was actually some privacy. Meanwhile, in the distance, a pirate ship was approaching… Argus and Gen'ei were both yet to meet a real human being.
