Occupation: Gym Leader (Dragon)
Preffered Pokemon Type(s): None in particular, but enjoys those who amuse or catch her interest.
Personality: When given the opportunity she’d discard her shoes in a flash, preferring to be barefoot then to have her toes uncomfortably bound in material that make her feet sweat. Can get distracted easily, especially in chores (which she prefers not to do), like cleaning the gym. Is confident in her abilities and favors battles where trainers provide a challenge, thoroughly proving themselves of a badge.
Quick Background Story: Inherited the Dragon Gym from her mother. Didn’t like the idea at first, i.e. having a future already planned out for her by her parents. She had wanted to travel, see the different options life had to offer, make something of herself instead of being born into it. Her mother gave Bennie the ultimate decision. Realizing that inheriting the gym meant it was her turn to create and protect a place where hopeful trainers could battle for their dreams and not that she was necessarily restricted to what was already set by previous leaders, she owned up to her responsibility and accepted the role.

Spirit Pokemon
Name: Delta (del-tuh)
Species: Garchomp
Gender: Male
Personality: Is a quiet Pokémon that prefers to be alone but enjoys the physical company of others. (Not the talkative kind of company, haha.) Is cranky when awoken from a nap and gets annoyed easily, especially when Romeo tries to get him to play because he’s always too lazy to do anything productive.
Background story: After wandering into a nearby forest, Bennie found a sleeping Garchomp by a lake (his favorite napping location). Whereas other Pokémon would run away because of its size and appearance, Bennie would visit him day after day, admiring the peaceful atmosphere the Pokémon seemed to excrete, wishing to nap alongside him instead of taking “gym leader lessons” from her mother. Sometimes, hiding behind a nearby tree, she’d nap as the Pokémon napped. Delta knew it must have been her who constantly snuck him berries: baked berries, fried berries, burnt berries, soggy berries… obviously Bennie was oblivious to how the berries actually tasted like, but the Garchomp didn’t mind, ‘cause hey, free food is food, and it’s not like he has any specific taste buds. One day, he followed her home out of boredom. Imagine the reactions of her parents. Pfff.

Starter Pokemon
Name: Romeo (ro-meh-oh)
Species: Totodile
Gender: Male
Personality: Thinks he’s a stud-muffin, always trying to impress the ladies when he’s around them. (To his dismay, doesn’t really work.) He tries to overcome his fears by acting tough, thinking he’s a big boy who can take care of himself. He’ll try hard to make new friends and make everyone happy. Likes to sleep outside his Pokéball cuddled around a blanket.
Background Story: Picked to be Bennie’s starter Pokémon, but much to his surprise, there was already a Garchomp living with her. Romeo tried long and hard to befriend Delta, but the grumpy Garchomp didn’t care about making a new friend and never looked his way. For a time, he felt dejected and sought comfort with Bennie by sleeping in her bed.

Other Pokemon
Name: Cybil (sih-bul)
Species: Mawhile
Gender: Female
Personality: Has a one-track mind and can be hard to turn her over. Shows a lot of emotion through her face, and when others catch on that she can basically be read like an open book, flusters and tries to negate the attention. Likes to tease others and loves sweets.
Background Story: Used to live in a cave where hide and seek was the favorite game to play by the Pokémon living there. Mawhile loved playing it constantly and grew close to the other Pokémon who participated. After finishing a round and wishing to play again, the Pokémon realized their friend Cranidos was missing. They split up to search. Mawhile found Cranidos cornered by a group of Marowaks who were angered that it wandered onto their turf. Wanting to help, Mawhile ran to Cranidos’ aid only for the cowardly Pokémon to run away in fear, leaving Mawhile to fend for herself. Unable to take them all on and distracted by the shock of a friend abandoning her, Mawhile could only defend against their attacks. Bennie happened upon the scene, grabbed Mawhile and made a run for it. Once saved, Cybil wouldn't leave her side.
