Before changing his outfit, Shell didn't have a didn't have a real name yet. I used to call him "Bushi" and he didn't own a pistol like he does now.

Now you know the origin of the name Vaquero(Spanish for Cowboy) 武士 or "Bushi" the Kanji for "samurai; warrior"

The original story was a bit of a gag I was playing around with. The main character would be the only one wielding a katana while everyone else had guns and he had a horse that was so small it basically rode him.

Then I started doing research on a lot of gunslinger-based media and the history of Western Outlaws, and then I made a completely different comic! Before the story was called "Cowboy Samurai" then it evolved into Vaquero武士 tapas.io/series/Vaquero-
