Description *Or, Look, There It is! Her Hand!

Pen
June 2012

This is the fifth in my series of character studies from Thomas Hardy's published works, this time for The Hand of Ethelberta, published 1876 (review here: [link] ). This wasn't my favorite, but it certainly had a good crop of interesting and varied characters!

UPDATE 2 April 2013 -- Characters, L-R: Lord Mountclere, Picotee Chickerel, Alfred Neigh, Ethelberta Petherwin, Eustace Ladywell, Christopher Julian, Faith Julian

HA. He does sort of have that snooty, prissy, weaksauce lamesauce air, doesn't he? (That's right, Loki is snooty and prissy and weaksauce and lamesauce!) It's fitting of Ladywell's character though (yes, that's right, Ladywell, ha ha).
