Here's a quick sketch inspired by the penultimate scene in the last HP film. Big decision you had to make there, Harry. Well done. Though you might have fixed your wand or repaired some of the castle first... Just sayin'. (Though I guess the wands of the survivors could probably handle a good deal of the repairs, except of course Filch's... lousy Squib. Ha.)

:clapping: I applaud Harry. That was one of the best decisions he's had in teh entire series. Oh, and didn't he fix his wand before breaking it in the book? Not to sound like a know-it-all But I haven't read the 7th book in a while...

Yes, he DID fix his wand first in the book, which is why it's even more of a shame that he didn't in the movie. Alas!

Oh my god, WHY would they make Harry snap the wand? He should have atleast fixed his. Probably for a really dramatic ending, but still! It was one of the most frustrating moments of the movie, especially since he was standing on the edge. He just cheated death, he should not push it.
You captured the moment really well though, love how the wand came out.

I can think of a few really good reasons why he would snap it actually, I just wish he had done a few little things with it first. Though I guess it was better that such power not be allowed to ever fall into the wrong hands again. Thanks!

But in the book, he fixed his wand and then put the elder wand back in dumbledore's grave. I don't think anyone knew it was going back there, but he wanted to break its power

This way they didn't have to film a whole new scene of him opening up Dumbledore's grave and also the effects of fixing his wand? Ha ha, I don't know. There are reasons, I'm sure. But still.

Yeah, but the smallest things make the biggest differences

ARGGGHHHHH I spent days (okay, months really) making Malfoy-worthy-nasty comments about the last 20-30 minutes of DH2. If they were going to screw it up that badly, why not go full-hog (pun intended) and fix the castle first?! Even though it wasn't in the book, movie-wise it would have looked spectacular. It also looked like he was going to throw himself off the bridge. Harry my boy, you just defeated the bad dude, and now you're going to waste all that effort. (Really think JKR could've given us a bit more hope than just the 19yearslaterstuff...but I'm just a muggle.)
Anyway! I love your art. My only suggestion would be is that he looks a bit too put-together here...unless he magically cleaned and repaired his clothes, his hair...
But doesn't matter. It's still cool

That's a good point, a bit more tattered would have added a nice element of bleakness to this. It was a pretty quick sketch though, I didn't intend on ever really showing it to the general public, ha ha. And it's true, the ending could have gone a few different ways, but overall I was pretty satisfied. Thank you!

Right on, thanks. It's surprising the feeling you can sometimes get with a pretty simple line drawing and some basic shading.
