Legend of Korra!au warning long text ahead OTL Sorry!
I recently finished season 3 (last night actually and cried like a bitch) and I ended up talking for a long time to serim-arts about this au and who would be suited for which character. I just HAD to it was calling meee, this IS a hijack au but technically some jackrabbit and speckledegg (hiccupxbunnymund) if you wanna go there with the Korra Asami Mako love triangle.
Avatar Korra- Jackson/Jack. I think this is a pretty obvious choice as the cycle starts again with water and Jack imo is waterbender default. Korra’s plucky, happy sometimes in your face attitude was pretty perfect in parallel for Jack’s joyful will and determination. Also their angsting periods and desire to find their purpose is equally strong.
Asami Sato- Hiccup Haddock. No brainer again, Asami is a beautiful brilliant engineer/designer/inventor, highly intelligent and with an extremely level head and a real pacifist whilst simultaneously being absolutely badass, she can also be goofy and down to earth- sound familiar ? Kinda relates to Hiccup too! (older vers that is, not that weecup wasn’t awesome and equally if not MORe loveable.)
I just had to because I also ship korrasami to hell endall and i swear its pretty much canon
Mako- Aster, this was hard because originally I wanted it to be the big four with rapunzel and merida filling in mako and bolin, but it didn’t work to me. So Aster being the worry wart he is and the massive grump bucket to refuses to smile ever unless he’s working on something he loves? Mako was perfect choice to me to pair Aster with.
Bolin- Flynn/Eugene, because I paired him with rapunzel (lel) who is also Opal, Sue Beifong’s daughter. Bolin and Opal have a thang sooo? (aha spoilerS?!) plus the charisma and way with animals that bolin has, so does Flynn (maybe exclude maximus)

Lavadude- Drago
Waterarm lady- Mother Gothel
Tenzin- North
Tenzin’s wife- probably Tooth?
Meelo, Jinora, Eiki- BT, Jamie, Sophie Bennet (jamie as jinora because feels)
Lin Beifong- Elsa, because she shut out anna just like Lin did and they’re sisters.
Sue Beifong- Anna, see above, and the whole anna wants elsa to approve their ‘marriage’ elsa disproves.
Opal- Rapunzel.
