so DC's been killing off a bunch of character's lately, most of which have been slaughtered by SuperBoy Prime. who's kinda become the Sylar of his world, which i think is pretty cool. unfortunately one of my favorites, kon-el, was on this list. but i'm happy he died trying to take down the uber-powerful Prime. i figure right before the battle he had this moment to accept the inevitable.man at some point i'm going to have to do a Superboy Prime pic.

Y'know, when Conner died, I thought to myself, "The way he died, it just wouldn't be right for DC to bring him back." I couldn't believe I thought that, as Conner was also one of my favorite characters! I was surprised as hell when they brought Kid Flash back and made it work!

thanks. lol. i'm one of the few who enjoyed it. but that has alot to do with superboy prime. it's just something about an evil character with that much power running around that i find cool.

thanks. lol i read an interview with the creators once that said it was supposed to be nightwing, too. but they changed their mind. an older version of him from the future is currently fighting against the teen titans.

Yeah I know, though I think the story is going to turn around as Robin decides to stop trying to bring Conner back in order to prevent the future from happening. If that is the case I am going to be fairly perturbed.... As for the interview yeah, like there isn't any Dick Grayson clones running around. Well besides Jason Todd and Tim Drake. I know their not exactly alike, but still any of them could be seen stepping up to the role of Nightwing. I think Jason was Nightwing while Dick was on the trip with Bruce and Tim.

Don't get me wrong I like Bruce and Dick Grayson, but there really wasn't any type of character to step up and take Superboy's place. I guess I am just sour on the situation.

lol, it's all good. i'm a big x-men fan, in particular new x-men. mike carey's group. i love the hitch and millar's ultimates, and i'm looking forward to joe mad and jeph loeb's run, but not so much for the story but i figure that it should be pretty fun. and ultimate spidey is my favorite marvel book, i almost have the entire run in single issues. at dc i'm really into superman. not so much all of his comics, although i love what kurt busiek is currently doing. i pick up flash from time to time and i'm waiting for shooter's return to the legion.
but my favorite superhero book is invincible, honestly it;s like my favorite comic. it combines the pacing and character development of manga with hardcore superheroic action. that's like the perfect union for me.

Man, I use to be a huge X-men fan about three years ago. What really messed it up for me was the direction they went with Iceman and Angel. After that I stopped reading when Angel left the X-men for no real reason. I started reading again when Joss Whedon brought Colossus back in Astonishing, my favorite X-man, but eventually lost interest. I know it is terrible, but it is hard for me to get into some Marvel books. I am currently reading the Avengers Initiative books and they are pretty sweet. I really like what they got going with the new Scarlet Spiders. Of course they'll never replace Ben in my book. At the DC house there isn't much I don't read. I'm really pissed at the writing team involved that took out Conner, but hopefully that will be rectified very soon. I'm a pretty huge Superman fan, and enjoyed the recent Camelot falls story it was interesting. Arion, sorceror of Atlantis, tries to convince Superman that he should retire because mankind has become too dependant and weak, and that there is a great cataclysm coming that will destroy most of the world. Superman actually thinks about it, but not in enough time for Arion's liking so he starts to show Superman why he needs to do as warned. Anyways it is pretty interesting. I think my favorite book over on the DC side right now would have to be Trials of Shazam. First off I am a pretty big Captain Marvel fan, and then I am a huge Freddy Freeman fan. I think it is about time that the Marvel Clan had their day in the sun.
As for Invincible I was a skeptic at first with all the hype but after and I began to talk about it he suggested that I pick up some back issues and tell him what I think. Since I am gung ho about taking advice from great artists I went out and got all the back issues, via graphic novels, and read up to the current number eight. Needless to say I am a fan. So I am right behind you on Mark and his adventures I can't wait to see what happens with the little brother.

cool, cool. man i missed the issue that explained the scarlett spiders, are they clones like ben? and i loved camelot falls, i missed the annual that came out recently that tied it all up, but i'll get it soon. and man i think i'm going to have to buy the trades on trials of shazam cause i'm too far behind. i'm glad that freddy is getting a chance to shine. i really liked what dc has been doing with the shazam family. yeah i can't wait to see what happens with invincible's brother. i think after issue 50 he's going to be called omni-boy and will be teaming up with mark.

The Scarlet Spiders take a real interesting twist, spoiler ahead, their clones of MVP, you know the kid that died pretty early on? Remember how he wasn't really a mutant and was simply a perfect human pushed to the limit? Well they took that and added Peter's Iron Spider armor with it, and well made for three bad ass brothers. As for Superman I think it is cool that Lana is getting a little more face time, and Lois playing mommy is something I never thought I would see in her modern incarnation it seems to play back to the silver age where Clark and Lois helped raised Kara. None the less it is an interesting last ish. Trials of Shazam is awesome thus far. It seems the longer it goes the more evil the white haired girl becomes. Freddy seems to keep getting shafted, and the girl seems to stay one step ahead. It will be interesting when they finally have it out. As for the upcoming Invincible it seems like it is going to be awesome. Mark is getting the new costume, and then Omni boy is around. Should make for some interesting reading. I also want to see something happen with Atom Eve.

This new ish that recently came out shows that there are more then simply three clones of him as well. He is effectively the newest super soldier. It's really cool to say the least. Pick up the last two ishes of the Initiative if you like the character they are must reads for his origin.
