Because I always find it HILARIOUS when people try this crap.
If you make a recolor of a character that you hate, okay its stupid and you made a mistake. But at least admit that you did it.
Don't go around editing it as much as possible when people call you out for it and pretend that the character you now hate has absolutely nothing to do with your character's design.
Yeah: it's silly and it DOES make you look bigoted, but you still did it and should own up to it. [or change your character completely.]
It actually tells fans that the only reason you hate the character is out of jealousy towards them when you turn around and base your character on them after all: the highest form of flattery is imitation.

If you hated that character so much for something other than envy you wouldn't have tried to imitate them in the first place.
But putting on boobs, changing their fur color to only another shade of the same color, making their hair longer and bangs different, and finally changing their outfit does nothing but make it look like you're trying too hard to prove that you aren't guilty of copying the design XD

Just stop and own up to it: it not that we're fanbrats if we call you out for your recoloring, it's just that you did it.
And making comparison pictures won't make us think differently.
